Born in Madrid but grown up in the Spanish enclave of Melilla in North Africa, I have been based in Asia for the last nine years. I lived in Beijing for two years, where I enjoyed walking through the hutongs and worked editing news at a news agency.

For the past seven years, I lived, wrote and shot stories in India and South Asia. I covered the cyclone Nargis in Burma and the attack on Mumbai in 2008; the end of the civil war in Sri Lanka and the Indian election in 2009; witnessed the women protest in New Delhi in 2012 and covered the Indian elections in 2014, among other issues. I wrote for the Spanish ABC newspaper for four years and for the Mexican magazine Proceso.

My photographs have been published in dailies like ABC and Publico and in magazines like Mujer de Hoy, Woman and Tiempo.

I work now at the Spanish EFE News Agency in Pakistan.
